I’m circling restless around my room
turning the place upside down
trying to find my words, I breathe the city air
I dodge the cars rolling down the street
I look through the buildings, surrounding trees
I’ll check out every corner, I will turn every stone
Have you seen them anywhere?
they’re quite heavy and important to me
I try to ask around, but this is a quiet town
Police, please, send your recruits:
to find the words that I’ve lost!
and make them do it at all cost
I’ll pay every dime, please find what is mine
they were on their way into my head
from my throat to tip of my tongue
out of my mouth, making the sound
I lost my words, where did they go?
under the pavement for maggots to eat?
or in to the wind, between those threatening clouds
Or way beyond our beloved Earth
into the space, behind that star
twinkling and smiling for us, from light-year’s distance apart
NASA, please, send the astronauts:
to find the words I’ve lost...
I browse through my dictionary
trying to find the words I’ve lost
I’ll chek from the letter “L”
I’ve found the words!
